My Hosting was created to provide GoDaddy small business owners and freelance web professionals with the ease of managing all hosting aspects of their sites in one dashboard.
GoDaddy customers might be managing their own WordPress sites in addition to those of family, friends, clients, etc. My Hosting serves as the central dashboard for users to easily see and manage all aspects of their hosting.
My team broke up various aspects of managing a site into different pages and cards, e.g. domains, backups, staging. We worked on outlining a card framework for how information and CTAs should be displayed on cards. Cards became reusable React components that could be shared across different hosting product teams. This helped establish consistent styles and less redundant code.
I joined this project fairly early and performed the role of frontend engineer in ensuring the UI matched the provided designs before the MVP launch. This included making sure all pages were responsive in order to be viewed on any device.Post-launch, as other hosting product teams began integrating with the My Hosting platform, my responsibilities adapted to include:
